Applications
The following materials represent successful applications; final suitability should be confirmed through material review and testing.
Crystalline salts, organic acids, inorganic chemicals and other free-filtering process solids.
Suitable food-process solids, crop hulls and fibrous materials after hygiene and breakage review.
Mineral solids, plastic granules and other coarse particulate products.
Filterable pharmaceutical products where construction, containment and cleaning are engineered for the duty.
Recoverable salts and filterable solids from concentrated wastewater streams.
Working Principle
The process route is selected around the material and product targets.
Suspension enters the high-speed rotating basket continuously through the feed system.
Liquid passes through the filter screen and perforated basket wall, while solids are retained on the screen surface.
The retained solids form a cake and remain under centrifugal force for continued liquid removal.
Relative speed between the basket and scroll moves the cake continuously toward the solids-discharge end.
Filtrate leaves through the liquid outlet while dewatered solids discharge automatically from the opposite route.
Performance Highlights
Final performance remains dependent on feed properties and engineering confirmation.
Feed, liquid removal and solids discharge proceed continuously without routine shutdown for cake removal.
Differential basket-to-scroll speed conveys the filter cake automatically to the discharge end.
High centrifugal force accelerates filtrate flow through the screen and promotes effective cake dewatering.
The continuous mechanical arrangement supports high productivity with relatively low energy demand for suitable feeds.
Suited to relatively coarse crystalline, granular and fibrous materials with good filtration behavior.
Continuous operation and automatic discharge reduce manual handling and support large-scale production.
Applications span chemical, food, salt, mining, pharmaceutical, polymer and high-salinity wastewater processing.
System Configuration
Core equipment and auxiliary systems are selected around the process duty.
The screen opening and perforated basket are selected for particle retention, filtrate capacity and cleaning requirements.
Controlled relative speed between the basket and scroll provides continuous cake transport and automatic discharge.
The feed arrangement is sized for stable distribution and continuous loading of the filtration zone.
High-load scroll and discharge surfaces can be protected with wear-resistant or replaceable components.
The continuous feed, filtration and discharge sequence can be integrated with variable-speed control and process interlocks.
