Applications
Applications include flammable and explosive media and toxic and hazardous media. Confirm material properties and process conditions before selecting the equipment configuration.
Continuous solid-liquid separation where air ingress could create an explosive atmosphere.
Processes requiring reduced operator and environmental exposure to harmful vapors or liquids.
Production duties in which process gas must not escape to the surrounding environment.
Continuous separation duties requiring containment, hazardous-area compatibility and reliable solids discharge.
Contained processing where product isolation, cleanability and controlled atmosphere are important.
Working Principle
The process route is selected around the material and product targets.
Process slurry enters continuously through the feed system and is accelerated and distributed inside the rotating bowl.
The density difference causes solids to settle against the bowl wall while clarified liquid forms an inner layer.
The scroll rotates at a controlled differential speed and conveys settled solids toward the conical end for further dewatering.
Dewatered solids leave through the solids outlets while clarified liquid discharges from the opposite end.
The sealing and purge-gas systems maintain the specified enclosed condition throughout separation, limiting air ingress and process-vapor escape.
Performance Highlights
Final performance remains dependent on feed properties and engineering confirmation.
The controlled sealed space limits process leakage and external-air ingress during continuous separation.
Open, vapor-tight and gas-tight arrangements allow the containment level to be matched to the medium and site conditions.
The machine supports continuous feed, separation, solids conveying and discharge with centralized process control.
The extended settling length increases effective residence time and supports improved clarification and solid-liquid separation.
Centrifugally cast bowl components provide structural integrity and reliable high-speed operation.
A variable impeller can adjust the internal liquid level during operation as process conditions change.
Optional in-place cleaning reduces manual cleaning and supports hygiene-sensitive production.
Purge pressure, machine condition and operating sequence can be supervised through project-specific monitoring and interlocks.
Reinforced and replaceable wear components protect critical surfaces exposed to high-velocity solids.
System Configuration
Core equipment and auxiliary systems are selected around the process duty.
For general duties where process vapor release is not significant and complete atmospheric isolation of the bowl area is not required.
Reduces process-vapor dispersion where the medium may affect the workplace or should not contact the surrounding atmosphere directly.
For inerted service with toxic, corrosive, flammable or explosive media; the sealed process space is maintained at controlled micro-positive pressure.
The compensated seal maintains reliable dynamic containment as the machine operates.
Purge-gas supply and pressure monitoring limit external-air ingress and support the specified safe internal atmosphere.
Drive, instrumentation and electrical components are selected to suit the project's area classification and protection concept.
An optional adjustable impeller changes pond depth during operation to optimize clarification, solids residence time, dewatering and throughput.
An optional clean-in-place system supports internal washing with less manual dismantling.
Centralized controls, monitoring and project-specific safety interlocks support stable continuous operation.
Wear-resistant protection can be applied to the feed, solids-conveying and discharge zones, with replaceable parts at high-wear locations.
